Pair of Pink Mushrooms

£230.00
sold out

A pair of glass mushrooms. Cast from original specimens foraged near Whitby. It is unusual to find a pair like this and be able to get them back to the studio in one piece.

They will fit comfortably in the palm of your hand. These mushrooms will look quite at home on a shelf or pile of books. They will stand upright or can be displayed horizontally.

I started foraging mushrooms avidly during lockdown and more recently have been on ‘Fungus Forays’ with the Whitby Naturalists. One is currently in the collection at the Armitt Museum alongside Beatrix Potter’s beautiful watercolours of fungi.

The finer details

Medium: Cast glass. The mushrooms are cast from the original specimens using the ‘burnout’ technique, so every detail of the originals are captured.

Made using gold pink gaffer glass. Gold is still used to make glass pink and is the most expensive colour to work with.

Dimensions: H 7 cm x W 5cm x D 4 cm

Shipping: Postage is FREE to addresses in the UK.

Do message me if you require international shipping.
