Made to turn in the palm of your hand. This mushroom will look quite at home on a shelf or pile of books. It will stand upright or can be displayed horizontally.
I started foraging mushrooms avidly during lockdown and more recently have been on ‘Fungus Forays’ with the Whitby Naturalists. One is currently in the collection at the Armitt Museum alongside Beatrix Potter’s beautiful watercolours of fungi.

Medium: Cast glass gilded with 23.5 carat gold leaf. The polished base is like a little window that allows you to see inside the mushroom.
Created using the lost wax technique made famous during Renaissance times.
